June 15th, 1988; marked a historic day in the world of music when Melissa Etheridge stopped by the KBCO studios and was recorded live on the radio. That memorable day spawned what is now Studio C, a unique and intimate setting where World Class Artists are recorded.
KBCO Studio C has become a station institution, a valued collectable and a holiday tradition. Once consisting of merely the hallway and a couple mics, Studio C has become a fully digital recording studio, presided over by Executive Producer Scott Arbough. In 1998 KBCO Studio C was honored by the Colorado Business Council for its continuing financial support of the Boulder County Aids Project.
Today, world-class artists seek out their chance to perform in KBCO Studio C. The release of each year's limited edition CD sparks a tremendous show of community support. Each annual volume sells out in mere hours without fail!
Proceeds benefit the Boulder County AIDS Project, recipient of over $500,000 from your purchases of 97.3 KBCO Studio C discs.
